Susie is passionate about protecting the environment and restoring rivers and people’s connection to them. She is particularly interested in using technical and scientific analyses to find solutions to the environmental and environmental justice issues that are so ever-present in our society. Susie works with community members, municipalities, other watershed organizations and state and federal agencies to implement nature-based solutions to flooding, water quality, climate vulnerability, habitat degradation and other threats to the Merrimack and its tributaries. Prior to joining MRWC she most recently worked as a scientist at the Stockholm Environment Institute, developing models and technical analyses to support water resource management decision-making from the local to the national scale around the world. Susie holds a B.S. in Environmental Geoscience from Boston College and an M.S. in Water Resource Engineering from Tufts University.
