Jacob Shactman

Jake is currently a project engineer at Wright-Pierce in Portsmouth, NH. He has civil design and consulting experience on a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects focusing on stormwater management, drinking water/wastewater, river restoration, and coastal resiliency from conceptual design through construction. He received a B.S. degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2019.
Growing up in Newburyport, he previously served as a volunteer for the Gulf of Maine Institute where he led a variety of local initiatives within the Merrimack River Watershed, including fish passage maintenance/monitoring, salt marsh resiliency, and water quality monitoring. Jake enjoys spending his free time inshore and offshore fishing in the tidal waters of the Merrimack River and throughout the Gulf of Maine, and is a certified USCG captain.
