For the past 15 years, Carol has worked in environmental protection and public service, with the last five years in the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Air and Waste. Prior to that, she spent 10 years as an environmental specialist with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection after studying environmental science at Ramapo College. She has committed most of her career to protecting natural resources and supporting healthy, resilient communities.

Carol also served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Signal Support Systems Specialist and recently enlisted in the Vermont Army National Guard as a combat medic. She volunteers as an emergency wildland firefighter in New Hampshire. Outside of work and military service, Carol plays tackle football, enjoys rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping, hunting, and fishing. You can usually find her doing just about any activity that shows her appreciation for the natural landscapes and waterways she hopes to protect.
