Tuesday Tours on the Merrimack – Plum Island Sound

Join us at the third of our 2024 Summer Fundraising River Cruises!

August 13 – Plum Island Sound/Great Marsh
Explore Plum Island River and the Great Marsh that is home to over 300 species of birds, including beautiful Egrets and Tree Swallows that are at peak abundance at this time of year. Mass Audubon Community Science and Coastal Resilience Manager David Moon will help identify wildlife in the lower Merrimack, and interpret efforts to help the Great Marsh cope with sea level rise. Waterfront Park, Newburyport.
Time: 6:15 – 8:15 PM (rain date – August 14)
Tickets – $60 per person – Registration Required, limited capacity on boat. 
Meet at Yankee Clipper Harbor Tours, Merrimac Street Waterfront Park, Newburyport. The vessel is handicapped accessible but does not have a handicapped accessible bathroom. For more information on the charter, please click here.

Note: On the vessel, there is a roof overhead for 90% of the seats, and passing showers or light rain is not a problem. In cases of heavy or unsafe weather conditions, the captain makes the final determination as to whether the boat leaves the dock or not. If we cancel due to weather or safety conditions, we will reschedule to August 14th. If you cancel and the boat is prepared to go, we are unable to re-sell your seat and thank you for your donation to MRWC!
