Seal Paddling Trip in Newburyport

Join the Merrimack River Watershed Council on a wildlife-focused kayaking trip with the local company Plum Island Kayak. We will be joined by a naturalist from the Seacoast Science Center.

We’ll start our adventure from Plum Island Kayak (92 Merrimac Street, Newburyport) and paddle downriver on the outgoing tide to Badger’s Rocks where dozens of seals typically gather to rest. On the way, we may see seals and various birds such as cormorants, terns, sandpipers, turkey vultures, ospreys, and maybe even a bald eagle!
