Deer Jump and Albert R. Retelle Reservation Invasive Species Removal
Hello! Come join the Merrimack River Watershed Council (MRWC) and the Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS) to help attack the invasive bittersweet.
Bittersweet is an invasive vine that is spreading quickly all over New England. It chokes and tears down trees. Blocks light and sucks up nutrient from the ground, competing against the native plants.
Where: 70 Brundrett Ave, Andover, MA 01810
When: 9am – 12pm
All the necessary cleaning tools will be provided. However, if you have tools of your own (sturdy gardening gloves, clippers and loppers) those will be helpful. Please bring plenty of water to drink and a snack. Long sleeves and longs parts recommended to protect from poison ivy. Bittersweet is a strong and hardy vine, so bring plenty of enthusiasm and your strong muscles!
