Deer Island Clean Up

Hello! Come join the Merrimack River Watershed Council for a park clean up event! We will be cleaning up Deer Island Park, an area where many people go to have picnics and go fishing. We will also have several brief educational talks by our own MRWC staff about the Merrimack River and living a greener lifestyle.

Where: 2012 Main St, Newburyport, MA 01950

When: 10am – 12pm

All the necessary cleaning tools will be provided, including gloves and trash bags. However, if you have tools of your own (sturdy gardening gloves or trash grabbers) those will be helpful. Also, be prepared to dress for the weather (wear layers), wear close-toed shoes, and long sleeves/long pants.  It can be cool along the river. Please bring plenty of water to drink and a snack.
